Its Space Science Today

After my school days,i laid my hands on Geography particularly space science from last few days. Thanks to the conversation with my Colleague and an acquaintance on some images which piqued my interest on Space science. As am dumb on this subject and the conversation did not go interestingly i started Googling Space science and leading to zillion topics.

Whenever i look up the sky during night time there are some stars which alway attracts me and they aligned in a particular pattern. Then i remembered the talk  about how to find the north direction with my cousin during school day. Those were above my heads during that time or rather i was more interested in Marks than knowledge. Now Knowledge is bliss so am starting over again just to have this bliss.

Find the seven stars(The Plough/Big Dipper/Sauce Pan/Ursa Major) in the sky. These seven stars have equi distant and looks like Sauce pan.Two stars among Sauce pan are called The Pointers which are like two drops of water run off when you tip off the sauce pan. From that Pointer star "North Star" located 5 times the distance between these two pointed stars.North lies under this North star. This Plough always rotates Anti Clockwise so sometimes the saucepan can be down in the sky. Yet,Always North star dependably points to it.

ExoPlanet-These are the planets which orbits a Star other than Sun.

Terrestrial Planets-These are planets closest to the Sun.E.g: Mercury,Venus,Earth and Mars which are also called inner planets and are rich in silicate rocks and Metals.Terrestrial name is derived from the Latin word Terra/Tellus which means Earth.

Jupiter and Saturn are gas giants as they are made of mainly hydrogen and helium gas which are unlike rocky surface of Earth.

Ice giants are planets composed mainly of elements heavier than hydrogen and helium.Uranus and Neptune are the planets in the solar system which fall under icy giants. These are made of Oxygen,Carbon,Nitrogen and Sulfur.

P.S Yes I googled even Orbit.Orbit is a path that one object in space takes around the other object.
